Dr. Steve Benson is the Chief Analytics Officer at Health Strategy LLC. This role primarily involves consulting with large self-funded employers and other payers of health care to maximize the value of their Pharmacy Benefits. As an employee of Health Strategy LLC, Dr. Benson uses proven, evidence-based, data- driven processes to evaluate a payer’s current pharmacy benefit and provide cost-effective recommendations.

Prior to joining Health Strategy in 2008, Dr. Benson was a Clinical Education Consultant at Pfizer Inc. In this role, he worked with health care professionals, health systems, national managed care plans, PBMs and large self-funded employers. He was responsible for conducting outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic analyses, clinical reviews and presentations, and pharmacy strategy development for her clients.

Additional experience includes 4 years as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Prime Therapeutics and Express Scripts as well as 8 years as an on-call Clinical Toxicologist at the Minnesota Poison Control Center.
