Our Origin Story

Josh Bellamy, PharmD., our visionary founder and CEO of
Health Strategy has always done things differently. Through
his unwavering commitment to innovation and his extensive
education and experience spanning 30+ years in the
pharmaceutical industry, he recognized that the supply chain
was ready for a transformation. Delving into the intricate process
connecting drug manufacturers to decision-makers, he observed
the inefficiencies throughout leading to“wildly different”
escalating costs. The convoluted journey from manufacturer to
wholesaler, pharmacies, benefit managers, plan sponsors, and
ultimately to employers and their employees, revealed many
inconsistencies.

Driven by this revelation, it activated his problem-solving mindset
to challenge the status quo, and propelled him to start Health
Strategy almost 20 years ago. His mission is helping health plans
and employers tackle the rising costs in the supply-chain by
cutting out waste and reducing gaps.
